G. Thomas Heger

Guy Thomas Heger, age 83 of Monticello, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born in Minneapolis on December 15, 1940.

Tom was a graduate of Minnetonka High School. He had a deep love for animals, caring for all creatures great and small. Tom also was an avid sports enthusiast and had a keen interest in investments.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ramona (Vermeulen) Heger; and loving pets.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Jill (Patrick) Mckevitt of Springfield, VA; grandsons, John Mckevitt of Flagstaff, AZ, Collin Mckevitt of Duluth, MN, Riley Mckevitt of Springfield, VA; siblings, Alana (Denny) Larson of Eden Prairie, MN, Dennis Heger of Minnetrista, MN, Linda Baker of Minnetonka, MN, Gina Heger of Eden Prairie, MN; beloved dog, Prancer; and many nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway Street, Monticello, MN. Burial will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Richmond, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Tri-County Humane Society.
